Live Grid View

Applies to Apple TV Updated 2 min read

The Live tab displays all your cameras in a multi-camera grid — the classic surveillance wall view.

Grid Layouts

The grid supports multiple column layouts. Use the Layout button to cycle through them:

Layout Best For
2 Columns Fewer cameras, larger thumbnails
3 Columns Balanced view for 6–9 cameras
4 Columns Medium systems, 12–16 cameras
5 Columns Larger systems, 20–25 cameras
6 Columns Maximum density, up to 36 cameras

The app automatically sizes tiles to fill the screen. On Apple TV 4K, even the 6-column layout maintains clear, readable video.

Reordering Cameras

You can rearrange the order cameras appear in the grid:

  1. Long-press Select on the camera tile you want to move.
  2. The tile enters reorder mode (visual indicator appears).
  3. Navigate to the tile you want to swap with and press Select.
  4. The two cameras swap positions.
  5. Press Menu to cancel if you change your mind.

Your custom order is saved and persists across app launches.

Fullscreen Grid

Press the Fullscreen button on the Live tab to expand the grid to fill the entire screen, hiding the tab bar. Press Menu to return to the normal view.

Opening a Camera

Press Select on any camera tile to open it in the full-screen player. From there you can view it solo, switch to multiplex layouts, or cycle through other cameras.
