First-Time Setup

Applies to Apple TV Updated 2 min read

When you launch IC Realtime TV for the first time, the setup wizard guides you through discovering and configuring your cameras. The entire process takes about a minute.

Step 1: Welcome Screen

The app opens with the IC Realtime brand screen. Press Select on your Siri Remote to begin, or press Menu to skip the wizard entirely and go straight to the app.

Step 2: Camera Discovery

The app automatically scans your local network for IC Realtime cameras. You'll see a radar-style animation as cameras are detected — no action needed on your part.

  • Discovery runs for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Cameras appear on screen as they're found, showing their name and connection status.
  • A green indicator means the camera is connected and ready.

Step 3: Camera Authentication

If any discovered cameras require credentials, you'll be prompted to enter a username and password. You can authenticate cameras individually or apply the same credentials to all cameras at once if they share a common login.

Tip: Most IC Realtime cameras ship with a default username of admin. If you've changed the password during initial camera setup, use that password here.

Step 4: Organize into Zones (Optional)

You can optionally group your cameras into zones — for example, "Front Yard," "Parking Lot," or "Warehouse Floor." Zones help organize cameras on the Home tab and on the Site Map. You can always set up or change zones later in Settings.

Step 5: Setup Complete

The wizard shows a summary of your discovered cameras, and you land on the Home tab, ready to start viewing.

Re-Running Setup

If you add new cameras to your network later, or need to start fresh, you can re-run the setup wizard at any time from Settings > System > Setup.
