Save the Job as a Site

Save Site screen with a customer name entered

A scan is temporary. A site is the saved record of a job: which devices were there, how they were configured, the snapshots and photos you took. Save one and you can come back to the job weeks later, on a service call, and still have the paperwork.

Save the current scan

  1. Finish your scan and the configuration work.
  2. Choose Save Site.
  3. Name it after the customer or the address, the way you would in your own job sheet. "Acme Corp HQ", "Bayview Marina".
  4. Save.

Everything is stored on the phone itself. Sites do not sync to a server and are not shared between phones, so the technician who did the install is the one holding the record.

Reopen a site

Open Sites to see every job you have saved, most recent first. Tap one to see the devices as they were, their snapshots and any photos attached.

From a saved site you can:

  • Review what was installed and how it was set up
  • Add photos you did not take on the day
  • Generate the PDF install report, including long after the install

Why save one even for a small job

  • The service call. When the customer rings in six months, the site tells you what is actually on the wall without a site visit.
  • The handover. The report is generated from the site, so no site means no report.
  • The next technician. Someone other than you will eventually work on that building.

Back it up

Because sites live only on the phone, a lost or wiped phone loses the record. Generate the PDF report at the end of each job and get it off the device, into the customer file or your own system. That is the durable copy.
